Island Pag

The island Pag is the most southern of the Kvarner islands, divided into Lika-Senj region and Zadar region. It is about 60 km long and between 2 and 9 km wide. The length of the coast is 270 km which puts Pag into a group of islands with most rugged coastline in Croatia.  Pag is one of the sunniest islands in the Adriatic with over 2500 sunshine hours per year. The average annual temperature is 15 degrees Celsius. Each, even the smallest cove, slopes gently towards the sea where you can find sandy beaches with fine crystal sand.

The town Pag is the biggest place on the same named island. Narrow Pag streets are rich with monuments of cultural heritage, but also with stores which offer traditional products and taverns where you can enjoy in local specialties. The term salt is related to the town Pag as salt is being produced in Pag salt works since ancient times – the production of salt in Pag is being mentioned in a document from 999. Another traditional product of Pag is the Pag lace, which was listed to the UNESCO world cultural heritage list because of its specialty. The Pag cheese is the most appreciated Croatian cheese which is being produced from Pag sheep milk.

Novalja is the tourist center of the island Pag. It developed in a gentle bay in the north-west part of the island. Special attractions are the beautiful sand and pebble beaches which surround Novalja. Terraces of different cafes create a special summer atmosphere where the guests can find refreshment and fun while listening to music. Many visitors, especially the young ones, have fun until late in the night in modern disco clubs in the open by the beach. The most popular such beach is Zrće.

Gajac is a recently built apartment complex situated on a gentle slope on the west coast of the island. In the center of the town is the main square surrounded by numerous restaurants, shopping and other service facilities. Jurišić Apartments are located in the center of Gajac, close to the walking path that leads from the center to the sea. The walking path by the sea leads to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island on which are located numerous sports and recreational facilities. The beach is 100 m away from the apartments, and only 2 km away from us is Zrće. The nightlife of Zrće beach is enriched with guest performances of various singers and DJs from the domestic and foreign showbiz. The entertainment program on Zrće never stops and you can have fun for the full 24 hours.
